Pure Maine Maple Syrup
For my digital photography class, I was tasked with taking photos of a product, utilizing the principles we learned about lighting, background, and composition. I went to my uncle's maple syrup shack, The Maple Moose, to shoot some of his products the weekend of Maine Maple Sunday, something of a state holiday where we're from.
Since the bottles are brown and the glass bottles showed the amber syrup, I wanted to keep a cool tone in the background to complement the orangey tones of the products. I used a white sheet of paper behind-the-scenes to help reflect light to the side of the bottle that was in the shadows. Overall, I was happy with how they turned out and can't wait to see my uncle use them on his website...coming soon!
